Inc. and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Dr. Artuso described his life as a form of "continual prayer." He shared some of the many challenges he has faced and how he learned to look past his circumstances in the hope of achieving something greater. He discussed his work in the development of different medicines and treatments, including immunotherapeutic drugs for cancer and cystic fibrosis. He stressed that we should always look for ways in which we can use our God-given talents to aid and support those around us. In speaking of his current work, he shared his vision of ways in which we as a society can mitigate the effects of global warming and climate change.

After the assembly, the members of the Honors Society and several faculty members had the privilege of engaging in a question and answer session with Dr. Artuso. He encouraged the students to go "beyond the surface" in their education and expand their horizons. In this way, they can use their talents to find new ways to help others and create a better world. Dr. Artuso's presentation to the students at BTA provided them with the rare opportunity to listen to and learn from the experiences of an internationally recognized, Christian academic scholar who is using his God-given ability to be a good steward of the earth and make it a more beautiful place.
