At Boston Trinity Academy the connections a student develops with a teacher in the classroom extend beyond the confines of the academic wing of the building. Each BTA student has a faculty advisor who not only teaches, but nurtures, encourages and guides a small group of students through the school year. Advisors meet with advisees at least weekly either as a group or individually. Advisors listen to student concerns, advocate for students, and support students as they face challenges both at school and elsewhere. Many students continue with the same faculty advisor from year to year, allowing for a depth of connection unprecedented at many other institutions.
This bond with a concerned adult provides students with the sense of being more fully known and cared for at school. Our students understand that their teachers are partners, advocates, mentors, and guides as well as educators.
