How to Apply for International Students
Thank you for considering Boston Trinity Academy as the school to further your child’s education. The deadline for application is February 3, 2012. Applications received after that date are reviewed on a rolling admission basis if space is available.
For international students interested in mid-year entry, applications must be completed by November 1, 2011. January placement is dependent on the number of openings available at grade level. Please contact the Admission Office with questions, 617.364.3700 or admission@bostontrinity.org
Getting Started:
Boston Trinity's application is now entirely online. Students, and their families are required to fill out both a demographic profile, as well as respond thoughtfully to a series of short answer and essay questions. Please start by filling out our Online Application here.
Once you have completed the Online Application, please pay the Application Fee OF $250 online by clicking the box below:
Recommendations:
These recommendations should be completed in English by:
- an Administrator
- an English Teacher
- a Math Teacher
Recommendations should be sent directly to Boston Trinity Academy well in advance of the application deadline of February 3rd.
Current School Transcript:
The transcript release form should be signed and given to the current school administrator or registrar well in advance of the application deadline. For students applying to upper grades, completed transcripts for all levels of high school should be submitted. The official transcript must be received by February 3rd to consider an applicant for admission. Please note that the transcript must be translated into English to be considered.
Interview and Tour:
Upon receipt of the Application, and the application fee, the Admission Department may call the student's family to schedule an interview (via SKYPE) and school tour (if possible).
Currently International students are interviewed on SKYPE, or in person. In the student's interview, the student will be expected to answer a range of questions in Engiish, demonstrating his or her ability to speak proficiently. There will also be several math questions and an essay question which must be answered.
Testing:
Applicants are required to take either the SLEP (Secondary Level English Proficiency) Examination, or the TOEFL (Test Of English as Foreign Language). Official score must be either mailed or emailed to the Admission Department.
If possible students are also encouraged, but not required, to take either the SSAT (Secondary Schools Admission Test) or the ISEE (Independent Schools Entrance Examination). Information on dates and test sites can be found at www.ssat.org or www.erblearn.org.

Decisions:
All Admission decision letters are mailed and emailed on March 9th, 2012. Families are required to notify BTA of their decision by April 6th. A deposit of $500.00 is expected with the signed registration agreement by the April 6th deadline.
