How to Apply
Thank you for considering Boston Trinity Academy.
We are now in our rolling admission session for the fall of 2013. During rolling admission we will review applicants as their files are completed and as we have spots available. We look forward to hearing from you.
The deadline for regular admission for the 2013-14 school year was January 31, 2013.
Getting Started:
Boston Trinity requires applicants to complete our online application, pay the application fee, interview and submit three evaluations, grade transcripts, and an ISEE or SSAT score report.
The first step is for applicants and their families to complete a brief, online Inquiry Form before beginning the official application. It is found at: BTA Inquiry Form.
Next, please continue to fill the online application. It will request more-detailed demographic questions and several short answer and essay questions aimed at getting to know the prospective student and family better. The application has several questions that the propective student must answer. We recommend that they save their answers to the essay questions in a separate document, and then paste the answers into the application to avoid the sadness that a internet interruption might cause.
Please begin our Online Application here.
Once you have completed the application, please submit the required application fee of $50. This may be paid online by clicking the box below:
Please download the required evaluation forms to be completed by:
- an Administrator
- an English Teacher
- a Math Teacher
After downloading the forms, parents should email them to teachers and administrators at their child's current school. Parents can direct evaluators to this webpage for download. Teachers and administrators can then save and rename a copy of the form, and electronically submit recommendation forms directly to the Admission Department at admission@bostontrinity.org. We require that recommendations sent electronically originate from the teacher or administrator's official school email address.
Alternatively if a teacher or an administrator prefer a paper copy, parents may download and print those forms above. BTA will also accept evaluation forms sent by standard mail or fax. All materials are due in our office by the deadline of January 31, 2013.
Current School Transcript:
The transcript release form should be signed and given to the current school administrator or registrar well in advance of the application deadline. For students applying to upper grades, completed transcripts for all levels of high school should be submitted. For younger students we require transcripts and grades for the past three years. The official transcript must be received by January 31 for all applicants. We accept electronic copies of official transcripts sent to admission@bostontrinity.org by the deadline.
Interview and Tour:
We offer tours by appointment and interviews only to students who have completed the online application and paid the application fee. Please call us to schedule a tour or an interview.
On the day of the interview, students will be asked to take an aptitude test and write a brief essay.
Boston Trinity Academy prefers that whenever possible, both parents attend the interview.
Testing:
Applicants are required to take the SSAT (Secondary Schools Admission Test) or the ISEE (Independent Schools Entrance Examination). Information on dates and test sites can be found at www.ssat.org or www.erblearn.org.
BTA’s ISEE school code : #222754
BTA’s SSAT school code : #1758
Decisions:
All Admission decision letters will be mailed on Friday, March 8, 2013. Families are required to notify Boston Trinity of their decision by April 10, 2013. A deposit of $500.00 is expected with the signed registration agreement by the April 10 deadline.
