Families applying for financial aid must do so as soon as possible and no later than February 1st by completing the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS). The school requires that both natural parents contribute to the cost of education for their child to the extent of their ability. If the student’s parents are divorced, separated, or were never married, both will be asked to complete their own PFS form. In addition, for divorced parents who have remarried, please include all financial information for your new spouse.
BTA prefers that the PFS be filled out and submitted online. Please visit http://sss.nais.org/parents for more information. If you cannot, you may also mail the PFS. Be sure to fill out all items fully and frankly and provide clear explanations of all circled items. Sign the form and send the original to: School and Student Service for Financial Aid, PO Box 371478, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7478. Please be aware that online applications take about 3 days to process and paper forms can take up to 6 weeks. We require that you submit a copy of your 2009 Federal tax return (1040 only) to BTA no later than February 15th. Any application received after these dates will be considered on a first come-first serve basis.
It is important to note that applications for assistance are made annually. Assistance is not automatically renewed.
