The Trinity Institute for Leadership and Social Justice was established to increase students’ awareness of the need for both Christian leadership and involvement in social justice locally and globally. The Institute will provide opportunities for students to fulfill the Academy’s mission while growing in intellect, integrity, service, and moral vision. Through the Institute, students will:
Develop Advanced Academic Research Skills by:
- conducting academic research on issues pertaining to leadership and social justice.
- learning to understand qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
- producing research papers and proposals on issues pertaining to leadership and social justice.
Serve the Local Boston Community by:
- assisting the Institute’s director with local service projects.
- working in conjunction with local community organizations.
- developing personal service projects.
Serve the Global Community by:
- developing projects and service trips to a variety of locales throughout the world. During the summer of 2008, two teams of BTA students and faculty served across the globe- one in Nepal and another in South Africa.
- providing funding to service organizations and individuals throughout the world. During the 2008-09 school year, BTA students are raising financial support for an orphanage in Nepal.
